By Samuel Strait, Reporter at Large – September 30, 2021 Recently, social media has been buzzing over the video of comments made by Dr. Shawn Brooks at a meeting in a town in Ohio. Contradicting messaging by the Medical Establishment in this Country that vaccines are "safe and effective", Dr. Brooks announced that within six months to five years, those that have been vaccinated will begin to experience "life threatening health issues". Over the past few days those comments and a link to Dr. Brook's statements on video have appeared in the "Comment Section" of the Crescent City Times. Since then, the video has been removed. Local naysayers are quick to label the video "tin hat" material, not to be taken seriously. The response from the Medical Establishment, the Media, and Public Health has not been to dismiss it with scientific evidence, but denigrate the messenger and repeat the mantra, "vaccines are safe and effective". "Negative outcomes are rare". While that seems to satisfy those that hold vaccines sacrosanct and inviolate, it continues to bring into question the invariable response to anything that questions the sanctity of vaccination as the end all be all for defeating the virus. It also ignores the troubling details that seem to indicate the problem has grown since the vaccines have been employed in a one size fits all fashion. It never the less has become the "ONLY" tool in the toolbox for the Medical Establishment in the United States and many other Countries, inspite of outcomes that have appeared over the course of the Pandemic that should scream "wait a minute here, not so fast". Over the past, now twenty months, the narrative that has been in the fore front of Media talking points and many subsequent Public Health pronouncements is that everyone needs to get vaccinated, at least 97% according to our cognitively challenged President. Mandates have sprung up in growing numbers through out the Country, yet the problems continue to grow since the messaging to "get vaccinated" has reached a feverish pitch. The CDC and the FDA have begun to behave like political operatives with propaganda and connections to "Big Pharma" that do nothing to settle the questions and pronouncements being asked nor reassure those that have reservations. Science seems to have been "put on hold" with conflicting information appearing almost daily. Parts of the Medical community in open revolt against forced vaccination. Since Dr. Brook's words created a fire storm on social media, the response has come in the form of "his PhD is in Education, not Medicine, his writings and publications are also in Education, not medical, and he lives in Oxford, Ohio, and did not attend Oxford University in the UK". Hence, his message has no credibility. This is normally followed by the mantra "the vaccines are effective and safe". And then the defense will typically trot out several academics with impressive pedigrees that not many people have heard of which will repeat what they hope is the final nail in Dr. Shawn Brook's coffin, the verbiage with a range of percentages of just how rare anything will happen to you if you are vaccinated. The problem being, for those that pay attention, is that things are happening that do not conform to the verbiage. It has long been established that numbers surrounding the Pandemic cannot be completely trusted. Deaths, hospitalizations, test results, and total confirmed cases are in under stated announcements from the CDC producing sufficient clues as to that fact. Other sources of information seem to confirm that the entire story has not been told. Reported health issues revealed in mostly anecdotal form appear to give some possible credibility to Dr. Brook's pronouncements. Yet, there has been no effort by the Medical Establishment to offer a credible response other than the mantra, "vaccines are safe and effective". This would be fine if that were to be the case. D-dimer test anyone? After all, you already been poked by a needle twice, what's a little more blood?
