By Donna Westfall – May 23, 2021 The Crescent City-Del Norte County Taxpayer's Association will be holding a meeting on Tuesday, May 25th at 5:30 pm. The meeting will be held at 937 J St., Crescent City and is open to the public. Some of the issues to be discussed: 1.) Whether or not to sue the County for violating the Brown Act. A Cease and Desist was sent to them in March. They have not responded. 2.) The Fire District tax. 3.) Seceding from California to join Idaho. New information and how that would affect the local prison. 4.) Finalize notifying BOS and City Council to repeal wage increases in the last 2 years and to cut salaries across the board with the emphasis being on those making over $100,000. 5.) Trash created by homeless around the county. 6.) Consolidation of County with City.
