PRESS RELEASE – July 16, 2019 Del Norte County District 1 Supervisor Roger Gitlin announces expansion of Community Service program involving wards of Juvenile Hall. In coordination with Del Norte County Probation, minors detained in the Hall will participate in various community projects in helping improve the Del Norte County. Friday, July 19 at 8:30AM, youths will participate in a wood chip dispersal project at the County Animal Shelter along the many dogs -walking trails at the Shelter. Some six to 12 Probation-supervised youth will participate on the wood-chip dispersal project.
