Submitted by Howard Jarvis Taxpayer's Association, Jon Coupal President, HJTA – On Monday, July 2, the California Assembly’s Committee on Revenue and Taxation will consider whether to support a special resolution, ACR 247, in honor of the 40th anniversary of Proposition 13. We think every lawmaker should recognize the importance of keeping property taxes affordable and predictable in California so that people are not taxed out of their own homes. A resolution in honor of Proposition 13 is certainly something that the Legislature should support.
