By Donna Westfall – February 14, 2018 – It's Valentines Day and death by gun is not supposed to be on the agenda but it is. Authorities have identified the shooter as 18 year old, Nicholas Cruz. He walked into Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School located in Broward County, Palm Beach, Florida with his weapon and opened fire. According to Broward County School District Superintendent, Robert Runcie told reporters at the scene that there are multiple fatalities and at least one staff member who was injured. Runcie said that the alleged shooter is a former student of the school. Law enforcement has taken Cruz into custody.
