According to SNOPES.com, On 4 June 2014, the Empire News web site published an article positing that Manson was soon going to be released from prison due to overcrowding. By the following day links and excerpts referencing this article were being circulated via social media, with many of those who encountered the item mistaking it for a genuine news article. However, the article was just a bit of satire from Empire News, a fake news web site whose disclaimer notes that it is “is a satirical and entertainment website.” Charlie is still in prison. His next parole hearing is scheduled when he is 92 years old. He's currently 79 years old.
