Don't give up on water conservation! The State will be continuing to look at water reduction numbers through February and comparing these numbers to the same months in 2013/2014. As a reminder, Crescent City is mandated to reduce our use by 16% over these numbers. It may seem counterintuitive, but this will likely be MORE difficult to do over winter months when it is raining. In summer months, simply not watering lawns reduces our use by a significant amount. In the winter our community will need to pay close attention to things like limiting our showers, soaking dishes instead of running the water, filling the dishwasher and washing machine before use, etc.
