In today's press release out of Sacramento, Gov. Brown announced the following appointment: Clark Ducart, 53, of Crescent City, has been appointed warden at Pelican Bay State Prison, where he has been acting warden since 2014 and has served in several positions since 1989, including chief deputy warden, correctional administrator, correctional captain, staff services manager, correctional lieutenant, sergeant and officer. He was a correctional officer at San Quentin State Prison from 1986 to 1989. This position does not require Senate confirmation and the compensation is $138,228. Ducart is a Republican.
