BY JAIME YARBROUGH There will be a meeting of, by and for the residents of Smith River and any interested members of the community at 6 PM Wednesday July 24th at the Community Center on First Street in Smith River. County Board of Supervisors Mike Sullivan and Martha McClure have been invited as well as the parent company of Ray’s Food Place C & K Foods Inc. in Brookings. Joni Forsht a member of the Smith River Heritage Association, President of the local Neighborhood Watch and member of the Smith River Days planning committee said she is hoping for a good crowd to discuss the possible options to Ray’s closing.
