BY DONNA WESTFALL According to Ernie Cox, one of the band members of Mud Sharks, counted roughly over 600 people attending this years Community Thanksgiving meal held at Del Norte County Fairgrounds. For this year’s Thanksgiving Community Dinner, entertainment was provided by the Mudsharks, Kaleidoscope. Front man for Kaleidoscope, Jewat, has been the entertainment coordinator for about 12 years. Originally music was provided as a background, with softly played piano or guitar, but Jewat decided the energy needed to be lifted and looked for local talent to fill the bill. The bands started playing around 11:00 and provided entertainment to the people sitting and eating as well as standing in line waiting to be served. Two bands played as numerous volunteers of all ages served traditional fare. Meals continued from noon to two in surprisingly beautiful sunny weather. Organizer, Terri Sandler did a marvelous job coordinating all the donations. Picture taken by Janice Wilson
