Schedule of Events: 7AM – A wreath will be placed in honor of all who gave their lives for our nation at the Point of Honor. 10AM – Ceremony is located at the Veterans Cemetery behind the Home Depot in Crescent City, and includes Honor Guard, music, and guest speakers. Flags on Memorial Day – The American flag on Memorial Day is flown at half-staff from sunrise until Noon in honor of our nation's heroes. After Noon, the flag is raised to the top of the staff until sunset. The red poppy is a nationally recognized symbol of sacrifice worn by Americans since World War I to honor those who served and died for our country in all wars.
