June 26th, 2024 – For Redwood Voice Community News, a production of Redwood Voice Youth Media, today’s news: a California man has been found after being lost in Big Basin State Park for 10 days; Redwood Parks Conservancy is planning a beach cleanup; Crescent City Hall announces a hearing on a proposed Fee Schedule; clamming opens up on the North Coast; Yurok Fire Department finishes their medical training; CalFire is suspending fire permits as California get drier; Curry County is refining it’s tax dollar spending; Del Norte County supervisors discuss where they stand with economic plans; and the Tolowa Dee’-Ni Nation welcome some very special guests.
