September 22nd, 2023 – For Redwood Voice Community News, a production of Redwood Voice Youth Media, today’s news: In the wake of the Smith River Wildfire Complex, insurance companies are prohibited from canceling their policies for one year; Crescent City should see the next phase of its Front Street reconstruction project “paved out” in November; California can’t force the homeless to leave, so they just have to ask nicely; and SoHum’s new non-profit Help’s on the Way (HOTW) hosts a Harvest Ball. All this and our regular segments from the Pacifica Radio Network and National Native News. We’re broadcasting on KFUG 101.1FM and kfugradio.org every day at 12PM, with a rebroadcast at 5PM.
