On Saturday, the 16th of August, an illegal garbage dump was discovered at Walker Road in the Jedediah Smith portion of Redwood National and State Parks. The refuse was found to contain materials removed from an apparent roofing project on a building of light green or seafoam color. The trash contained shingles, tar paper, old OSB board, siding and metal mesh and gutter trim. The dumpsite was located uphill near the Smith River.
