The compliance demonstrates consistent adherence to the blood sugar check protocol for stroke patients during this period.• Utilize the 12-lead electrocardiogram for useful diagnostic testing. The testing allows paramedics to view the rhythm of the heart and blood flow to the cardiac muscle.Recruitment and retention remains a national, statewide and local challenge. Del Norte Ambulance has re-doubled to recruit and retain the best EMTs available.• Enrollees in Del Norte Ambulance Explorer’s Post is the highest in DNAMB history.• Of six scholarship recipients for EMT School, four have completed their courses and two are preparing to test.• Sandler reports four EMTs are at varying stages of paramedic trainingDNAMB maintains the highest level of working relationships with Dept. of Health and Human Services, Sutter Coast Hospital and its soon-to-be EmPath unit and the Del Norte Sheriff’s Office, according to Sandler.• Into the future: Collaboration with Sutter Community Hospital and Del Norte County to launch a community paramedic program; Developing response time models for quicker responses to all areas of our community; Research, Continuing to explore opportunities to better serve Klamath; Growth, Continue to grow our first responder training program to expand hands-on training opportunities and free CEU. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('ad-1515727'); });
