LeRoy Adam Bieber He married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Mary Pletz (Pat), and together they built a life filled with fun, love and adventure. As Roy liked to say, “I got tired of shoveling the snow and you don’t have to shovel the rain” and then moved to Crescent City, CA. There, both he and Pat became beloved teachers at Del Norte High School (DNHS) while raising their five children: Brian, Bridgette, Brad, Brett, and Branden. He cherished family time, fantastic travels, friend events, and doting on his nine grandchildren and, more recently, his great-granddaughter.Roy was an avid Minnesota Vikings fan, loved dancing with Pat, playing cards, fi shing, and had an undeniable sweet tooth for ice cream. His true passion, however, was woodworking—he oft en said, “If it’s made of wood, I can build it.” He constructed and renovated numerous Del Norte County homes, facilitating home purchases and a deep sense of community. Roy founded the DNHS Vocational Carpentry Program, mentoring countless students and inspiring them to pursue skilled trades. In addition to teaching and constructing, he deeply cherished sports programs, always supporting student-athletes and taking great pride in their accomplishments (and often yelling a little too loud ☺).Roy will be remembered not only for his kindness and dedication to family, friends, students, school, church and the Crescent City community but also for his hearty laughter that could fill a room. He was looking forward to reuniting with Pat and his beloved family, enjoying eternal peace and love. His joy for life and ability to bring mischief, warmth and humor to any gathering will be deeply missed. We love you!“Well done, good and faithful servant!” — Matt hew 25:23In lieu of flowers and to honor Roy’s dedication to education, charitable contributions can be made to:Bieber Family Scholarship - Del Norte Scholarship FoundationC/O Del Norte Unified School District301 West Washington Blvd Crescent City, CA 95531 googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('ad-1515727'); });
