The eight day holiday commemorates the Exodus of the Israelites from slavery in Egypt.The Celebration commemorates with a special meal called a Seder and the eating of un-leavened bread called matzah.The story of Passover is recounted in reading from the Haggadah, the ritual account of the Exodus story.
