In a recent article by desperate environmental hysterics to remain relevant in the ongoing campaign to keep “Climate Change” before the Public, an article appeared blaming methane gas created by cow farts (emiting gassesous metabolic waste) as being one of the most serious causes of global warming and, of course, Climate Change. It would appear, American fondness for beef is “right up there” with fossil fuel consumption as a cause for the warming of the planet.Initially, reading the article, I couldn’t help but chuckle assuming attacking cows as a reason to prop up the flagging effort by Climate Change scolds was meant to be a joke. Storms haven’t gotten worse for decades. History and science have both recorded fewer Category 4 and 5 storms in the United States dating back to the 1950’s. The world itself has seen a similar pattern of fewer large storms. Wild fires before Europeans reached the West Coast of America were massive fires of millions of acres. It was only when proper forest management occurred during a period of timber harvesting where massive fires were reigned in. Since then, decades of environmental activism have halted forest management and water storage leading to what Mr. Sadler has called a climate induced “fire storm ravaging our second largest city.”Unfortunately, Mr. Sadler’s dedicated advocacy for “Climate Change” being the cause of the LA fires has significant problems. I must suppose he’s never heard the line “it never rains in Southern California”? The fact it is January in LA means very little in an area which is classified as a “Desert”, and receives less than 18 inches of rain in an average year. January 2025 came in at 2.6 inches. By comparison, Del Norte County can record 25 plus inches of rain in a single month. Drought in the United States hasn’t come close to what was experienced in the 1930’s.Very few of the years being recorded as the “hottest years on record” are in fact true primarily because the years on record only go back a few decades for comparison. History disputes “hottest year on record” in numerous instances, the most obvious being when Greenland was actually “green” during the well documented Medieval Warm Period.One would think the “Climate Change” from human causation by burning fossil fuels would abate after the past eight, nearly nine years of world temperature decline, or the increase of ice at both poles. Better yet, climate hysterics might check in with the fact climate change in all its forms have now been with us for three and a half decades, ten or more end of the world dates of demise, and still no catastrophe in sight.So, for Mr. Sadler and his hysteric friends, if you’ll pardon the pun, CHILL, if you haven’t gotten in on the grift yet, you likely never will. googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('ad-1515727'); });
