If you have ever thought about writing to your United States Senators or Representative, I have a project going that you might be interested in participating. It is a “Postcard Project”. The issues are expressed in one or two sentences, printed on a label and attached to the back of the postcard and the front includes labels with the address of the respective sldenators and Representatives for the area of the person participating in the project and the participant return address label. The participant signs under the issue label and drops the prepaid Postcard into the mail.Why Postcards? I found letter writing not only takes quite a bit more time, but the letters take quite a bit more time for the recipient to read and absorb the Issue, if they even bother. They also cost 10 cents more to send.Short and to the point is more likely to get their attention and hopefully their action.
