K9 Juno Struck and Injured by Hit and Run Driver, Needs Surgery

Juno needs your help!Last Thursday was a very dark day in Crescent City. Jenna, with the help of her Dad, gently picked up Juno and rushed her home. An expeditious trip to Town and Country Vet in Harbor revealed she suffered a broken leg and fractured pelvis. Town and Country administered First Aid, an action which saved Juno’s life.The encouraging news is it looks like Juno is going to make a full recovery but funds are desperately needed. Those wishing to contribute may log on to Go Fund Me, Heal Juno Future Canine Hero.So far the fund has raised about $3000.• Juno is a hero (heroine)…• Explorer Jenna Phillips is a hero (heroine)…• The Crescent City Police Explorers are heroes• The Volunteer K9 Unit is an absolute asset to the community.Juno has been transferred to a K9 specialist vet in Springfield, Oregon for major surgery.Local efforts to raise additional funding for this valuable asset are underway.
