Following a California Highway Patrol (CHP)investigation into the December 4 hit and run traffic fatality on Northcrest Drive and Madison, an arrest has been made. The incident took place at approximately 6PM.The driver of the vehicle who struck and killed Peter Jun Ming Nip, 80, who was walking across a marked crosswalk pushing a shopping cart left the scene of the incident but was arrested by the CHP. A third vehicle, a white Kia traveling south on the southbound lane, east of Madison Avenue, the approaching driver noticed laying in the road, swerved but was unable to avoid the person.
