52 year old Shakiyla Bryant waived her right to a Preliminary Hearing Monday, November 18th. The Hearing involved the death of Winston Luttrell, 56. Bryant was charged with Murder, Gross Vehicular Manslaughter and Driving Under the Influence, while operating her 2018 Jeep Wrangler. According to the CHP, Bryant made a left turn from Mouth of the Smith Rd onto Highway 101 within Luttrell’s path of travel. Monday early evening, September 23. Luttrell was riding his 1997 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound on 101 when he was unable to stop, slamming into Bryant’s jeep. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.The CHP conducted a breathalyzer test on Bryant who blew a .18. The legal limit to drink alcohol and drive is .08.After waiving her right to the preliminary hearing, the arraignment of the suspect was scheduled.
