Many Curry County residents use the Fred Endert Pool during the winter months; that option will not be available, this Winter.SCCA approached Crescent City staff to consider the possibility of a partnership to open the Brookings pool for the winter months.• SCCA would be responsible for all facility-related costs, including utilities, electricity, propane, chemicals, supplies, insurance and facilities equipment maintenance.• Crescent City would provide the lifeguards and supervisory staff for program operation and bear the cost.Pool program would include a limited schedule, mutually agreed upon between Crescent City and SCCA. Morning and afternoon sessions Monday-Saturday are anticipated. Swimming, Exercise, Recreational swimming and times for swim team training and the possibility of swim lessons may be included.SCCA has committed to keep the outdoor pool heated at 83 degrees.The City estimates the costs of the three month Program will be an approximately $10,000-to a high of $18,000 to $28,000.
