The Del Norte County Board of Supervisors concluded its 14 day public hearing for the 2024/25 Fiscal Year Budget for the General County and Special District Budgets. The Final Budget for the Fiscal year is $242.6 million, an increase over last year, $45.8 million General Fund (discretionary spending), a slight decrease over last year and carry over of $6.8 million unused from last yearβs Budget. The 1 percent difference translates to a 12.2 percent increase in sales tax revenue. Funds collected from Measure R totaled just under $2 million, last year. Currently, there are reserves of about $4 million.
