The City invited the public for the groundbreaking of the pump track, July 31 and the next leg of Front Street road improvement, August 5. The pump track is slated to be the largest in the Northwest, eclipsing the recent pump track in Portland. Designed for bicycles, scooters, skateboards, anything with wheels, the pump track requires no peddling or human-generated propulsion. The pump track concept was developed from a $5 million grant from the California Statewide Park Program.These projects are part of an $8 million California Prop 68 Parks Grant. The groundbreaking are one of many funded projects slated to be built over the next 24 months.
