After winning the Oregon District 8 tournament, Del Norte Little League 10-12 age group baseball Allstars headed to the Oregon State Little League tournament July 20. The District 8 champions throughout the State were there for a chance to travel to San Bernardino for regional competition.In the opening round, Team Del Norte faced Hermiston, Oregon. DN advanced into the winner’s bracket with an 11-6 victory. Colt Pressler dominated in the opening round, striking out nine and giving up only four hits. Damian Parras and Chase Bachman came in to relief pitch and seal the win. “Game 1 was huge for us to enter the winners bracket against a very good Hermiston team,” said Manager Tyler Bachman.Game 2 had a different result. Historical powerhouse Murrayhill beat Del Norte 10-0.
