The Partnership for the Performing Arts (PPA) will be sponsoring a Benefit Car Show event at the 25th Annual Lucky 7 Car Show, in Smith River.Friday, August 16, a Show'n Shine event at the Casino from 4:00-6pm will take place.Saturday, some 125 magnificent cars, trucks, motorcycles and 4x4s will provide your vehicular eye candy.PPA hosts, Nick and Lisa Rail will be on hand with “Deep Bows” of appreciation for your support of the $43.2 million Performing Arts Center on the campus of Del Norte High School. “The list is long for those to recognize and thank. Lisa and I want to thank Lucky 7, the Curry Cruisers and so many of our public who’ve contributed to helping us raise funds to build the first and only Performing Arts Center from Arcata to Florence, a distance of 240 miles.” By the end of calendar year 2027, the anticipated result will be a spectacular 800 seat Center which will host musical events in State of the art acoustics and provide first class facilities for lecture events.
