Del Norte Health and Human Services will begin major renovations in its Legacy project, converting the 30 unit motel room Coastal Inn and Suites into permanent housing options for individuals and families. Work is scheduled to be completed by October 24.The Legacy is owned by Operation Home Key and administered by the California Department of Housing and Community Development. According to DHHS, the renovations will entail but not be limited to remodeling guest rooms including addition of kitchenettes, remodel the lobby, decommission the pool, demolish the floor in the pool house, add new concrete floor and add a new community space.
