On May 9th, 2024, Jesus called Gene home after a great day of enjoying the outdoors and working in his yard. His happy place.He was born in Talihina, OK to Luther ‘Redcorn’ Norbury and Virginia ’Ruth’ (Craig) Norbury; the fourth of 7 children. When he was very young the family moved to Fort Seward, CA and stayed in that area through to adulthood, graduating from South Fork High. Here he met and married his wife of 57 years Linda (Robertson) Norbury. Gene and Linda raised their family in Klamath, as Gene worked for Simpson Timber (Green Diamond) doing everything from working in the mill, driving truck, making harvest plans, and finally being the Road Construction Engineer.His parents, and brother Harold ‘Butch’ and sisters Betty and Diane proceeded him in passing. Gene is survived by his wife Linda; his sons Sean (Melissa) and Gabe (Carrie) and his grandchildren Mariah (Joel) Brennan, Brittney (Julio) Norbury, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Norbury and Tristyn Norbury. Brothers’ Billy Joe (Judy), Audie (Penney) and Rick (Karen); sister-in-law’s Emma Norbury and Claudette Robertson, and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends!
