Leroy Nelson Restad age 80, known fondly by friends as Lee. Long time resident of Crescent City, CA, peacefully departed from this world surrounded by family on March 21st 2024.Leroy was born in Langdon, North Dakota on February 11, 1944, to Fern and Melvin Restad. He was number 4 of 12 children. Later his family moved to Crescent City, CA where he resided for the duration of his life. Leroy loved many things. Including his wife, children, grandchildren, friends, family, animals, his garden, baking, and much more. If you couldn't find him, he was probably out in the barn or the garden or the field wearing a straw hat and a flannel.Leroy (Lee) was a man of strength, sacrifice, and dedicating himself to working hard. He served in the US army and battled in the Vietnam war. Later he went on to drive semi-trucks for various local businesses as well as owned and operated his own trucking company L. Restad Trucking.Leroy is proceeded in death by his mother, father, 3 siblings and many more beloved family and friends. He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews and various other friends and family members.There will be no services at Leroy's request.
