Norma J. Pierce, age 95, passed away March 19,2024 at The Rose House in Branson, MO. She was born on September 23,1928 in Garden City, Kansas to John and Iona Boyd. On November 26, 1944, she married Homer S. Pierce, of Garden City, Kansas. He passed away December 28, 2012.As well as being a housewife and mother, for many years she helped her husband with the farming. Norma and her husband liked to travel, including trips to Canada and Europe. She was also an avid fan of KU and K-State basketball, Del Norte Warrior sports, and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers football team. Most of all, she loved her family and kept track of each and every one and what was taking place in their lives.Norma was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and a grandson. She is survived by her sister, Lois Ramsey, of Garden City, KS, her children: Nancy Courtney and her husband John, of Springfield, Mo., Larry Pierce and his wife Shawanna, of Hollister, MO., Rodney Pierce of Albuquerque, NM., Tim Pierce and his wife Connie, of Crescent City, CA.; grandchildren: Shane (Mary) Pierce, Christine (Darren) Smith, Tucker (Chandra) Pierce, Dylan (Janet) Pierce, Buck (Lori) Pierce, and Flynt (Jaclyn) Pierce; twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.Cremation has taken place, and her and her husband's ashes will be co-mingled and scattered together.
