Norris Edwin Harp, Sr. 91, passed away on March 9, 2024, in Crescent City, California.He served in the Navy during the Koren conflict. Norris worked in the sawmills for many years. Later he got a job with the City of Crescent City for the next 35 years doing everything that needed to be done, street work, pruning trees, keeping the malls clean, mowing the parks on Front Street on the big moving tractor.He was married to Marta for 59 years. Norris is survived by brother Ernie and two sisters, Joyce and Bonnie who live here in Crescent City. He has five stepchildren and one son of his own. Norris did a good job caring for them. Over time, they got married and gave him grandchildren and great grandchildren. They come home every summer during the 4th of July and enjoyed being here together. They will miss him very much.Graveside services were held at Del Norte County Veteran’s Cemetery on Monday, March 18, 2023.Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel.
