PORT ORFORD, OR- Coos-Curry Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CCEC) is proud to announce its 2024 educational outreach programs, aimed at supporting the educational goals of local high school students. With a strong belief in the potential of youth to shape our service territory’s future, CCEC is committed to nurturing the next generation of leaders through various scholarship opportunities and the Washington D.C. Youth Tour.CCEC High School Scholarship ProgramOne of the scholarship programs offered by CCEC is the High School Scholarship Program, which is open to eligible high school seniors who demonstrate exceptional dedication in education, extracurricular involvement, and community engagement. The program awards six scholarships, each valued at $1,000, to deserving students who embody the cooperative spirit and have the potential to become future leaders. The recipients will be chosen randomly from a pool of qualified applicants, ensuring a fair chance for everyone who applies. This approach highlights CCECF’s commitment to supporting students’ educational journeys in a diverse and inclusive manner.For more information and to submit an application visit: www.ccecf.orgWashington D.C. Youth Tour: A Journey of Discovery and LeadershipCCEC is also sponsoring an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington D.C. for a high school junior from the CCEC service area. Scheduled for June 2024, the Youth Tour promises an enriching and unforgettable experience, including visits to historical landmarks, interactions with congressional leaders, and the development of leadership skills.
