Longtime Crescent City resident Donna M. Trone passed away peacefully at home on December 26, 2023. She had just celebrated her 90th birthday on December 10. Donna reconnected with her second husband Dick Trone at their Del Norte High School 40th reunion and remained inseparable thereafter. They were married for 30 years before Dick’s death. Donna was also preceded in death by her first husband Don Morgan son Michael Morgan (2023) and her husband Dick Trone (2023). She is survived by her son Clay (Jaonna) Morgan, daughter Shannon Davenport, daughter-in-law Verna Morgan (Michael), stepdaughters Holly (Gary) Hunt, and Kimberly Trone, and grandchildren Jamie (Kris) Andrews, William (Crystal) Morgan, Leah Morgan, Tracy Morgan, step grandchildren Samantha Killen, Nicole Baciuna, and Shannon Reeve.Donna enjoyed camping, traveling, crafting, and square dancing. She was passionate about her role as a foster grandparent through the Del Norte School District. She volunteered for many years at Feline Rescue and always strived to give back to the Crescent City community. A celebration of the lives and love of Donna and Dick Trone is planned for 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Crescent City Foursquare Church, 144 Butte Street.
