Larry Edwin Scott passed away on the evening of January 6th, 2024, after a recent diagnosis of Multiple Myeloma. Surrounded by family, he passed peacefully in the comfort of his home. Born in Monticello, Arkansas in 1948, Larry’s family moved to Crescent City, California in 1952. Larry was a mechanic in the US Army from 1966-1969; and served 18 months of that time in Korea. After an honorable discharge, he returned to Crescent City where he started his own family and worked for Miller Redwood Company from 1969-1992. He eventually settled his family in Springfield, Oregon where he retired from Napa Genuine Parts after 21 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years Denise, son Will Scott and wife Heather, daughters Loni Scott Spear and Tami Scott Chamberlain and husband Dino, 17 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters-in-law Garry and Carma from McKinleyville, and Bill and Cindy from Crescent City, as well as lots of additional extended family. Larry was admired by all that knew him. He was a great man with a boisterous laugh and will be missed greatly by everyone fortunate enough to call him family or friend.
