A multi-acre parcel on South Beach has been acquired by the Elk Valley Rancheria.The funding for the $725,000 purchase comes from the California State Coastal Conservancy.The property sits on the ocean side of Highway 101 across from Sand Mine Road.Elk Valley Rancheria will oversee the 9.19-acre parcel for the benefit of wildlife habitat enhancement and public access and for the removal of invasive species.
