Del Norte Unified School District Trustee Michael Greer recently declared his candidacy for State Assembly, District 2. Greer made his announcement at the Republican Women’s monthly meeting, Thursday, November 2.Green is a four-year resident of Del Norte County and a retired special education teacher, from Paradise. He relocated to Del Norte County following the devastating Paradise Camp fires.Greer served as a trustee on the Paradise Union School District for 14 years and was the president of the district at the time of the fires. Currently, Greer is the Region 1 director for the California County Boards of Education, presenting Del Norte, Humboldt, Mendocino and Lake counties.
