The Six Rivers National Forest is reducing the forest closure order for the Gasquet Ranger District. The purpose of the forest closure order is to provide for firefighter and public safety during the ongoing wildfire response and suppression repair operations within the complexes. While fire activity has decreased, operational activities continue. In addition to the operational activities in the area there is also increased hazards within the burned areas such as fire weakened trees that pose a risk of falling without warning.The forest closure order, Order No. 10-23-12, temporarily restricts access to any national forest system road, trail, or land within the closure area.
