By Samuel Strait – October 16, 2023 The Del Norte-Curry Community Concert Association kicked off its 75th season 2023-2024, this past Friday evening, October 13th, with its first concert of the season. Three more to follow. The premier concert featured a duo. Jaca, of an unusual combination of Classical Guitar and a Clarinet. The duo played to several hundred locals for nearly two hours of new and fresh world spanning music. From Spain to the New World, French "hot" Jazz to the mountains of Appalachia and every where in between, Jaca kept the peddle to the metal to the delight of the audience. Another rousing performance brought to Crescent City free for all ages to enjoy a night of music and other cultures. The Concert Association has three more evenings of music to offer to the area. Carion Wind on Wednesday, November 8,2023, then the Mary E Bowden w/Chrysalis Players on Friday, February 23, 2024, and finally Jason Fabus Trio rounding out the season Friday, April 19, 2024.
