In a first ever trip, 300 bicyclists and 50 support staff two and three-wheeled their bikes down the 101 enroute to Beachfront Park, Tuesday afternoon.The Group tour organized by Bicycle Rides Northwest (BRNW) camped out in class, with all the amenities one could imagine. Gourmet-prepared meals, designer coffee, snacks, first aid, massage therapists and all the conveniences of home. Wednesday, cyclists peddled up Howland Hill Rd to South Fork Rd across Stephen Bridge and back to Beachfront Park. Thursday morning, the group departs north on 199 via a CHP escort through Hiouchi. A shuttle bus will be optionally provided transporting riders and bikes through the Collier Tunnel.
