I wanted to thank everyone in the community who voted for me to win Best Boss of 2023 in the Triplicates Reader’s Choice Awards.I have been a part of this community since I was 4 years old in 1989, first moving up here when Pelican Bay opened up and my dad started as a prison guard. I grew up here, went to school here and joined the U.S. Army in 2004 to serve my county and country. I have always loved our community. We have beautiful scenery and people alike.However, there are things we can do better as whole to serve this community. We as a county, need to stop belittling and hating those who share different beliefs than us. America was started because of the lack of freedom, how can we sit here today, say we are proud Americans while we are hating our brothers and sisters across the aisle for their beliefs?The diversity is what makes us great. The different opinions is what helps us to see problems in the community we don’t necessarily focus on ourselves. We need substantive arguments from all walks of life, in order to best serve our people as a whole. We need to pick up the pieces of our broken leadership, rekindle lost relationships and push forward for a unified county and country.
