On Wednesday, February 8, the Del Norte and Tribal Lands Community Food Council held its second meeting of 2023, welcoming members of the newly formed Steering Committee: David Salmon, Esther and Javier Gomez, Jennifer Schmidt, Marie Reeder, Miguel Pelayo, Patty Adams, Rachel Mayer, Terry Allaway, Veronica Van Mechelen and Kevin Mealue were introduced as the steering committee.This team of local food system stakeholders has stepped up to serve their community through providing input and direction to the projects, programs, and policies undertaken by the DNATL CFC. When asked why she decided to join, Council Member Patty Adams stated β€œI very much wanted to be involved in finding food opportunities for Del Norte County.
