Robert (Bob) Scarlett passed away December 3, 2022, in Gasquet California, at the age of 72. He was born 1950 in Eureka, California to Donald and Dorothy Scarlett.He survived by his wife Veronica of 8 years, daughter Jennifer Mello (Richard), son Brandon Scarlett and grandchildren Rachel Mello, Paula Mello, Kylee Scarlett, Skyler Scarlett, sister Suzanne Peepe, and brother Tom Scarlett.Bob was preceded in death by parents Donald and Dorothy Scarlett and sister Carol Green.As a youth Bob reached the honor of Eagle Scout. He received his teaching credentials from Hum-boldt State University. Bob was a teacher for over 30 years in Del Norte County, starting at Sunset High school, but most remember him as the Del Norte High School metal shop teacher. Bob loved carpentry, hunting, fishing the Smith River, backpacking, and camping. He was also a Boy Scout leader for many years.He will be missed by all those who remember him and lives he touched.A private family service will be held at a later date.Arrangements are under the direction of Wier’s Mortuary Chapel.
