It is with great sorrow to announce that James Michael Hester passed away Unexpectedly on September 11, 2022. He was born on May 28, 1957, in Sacramento, California.He is preceded in death by his mother Edna M (Hicks) Hester and father Kenneth W Hester of Southern Illinois, Elder brothers Kenneth Lee Hester and Joseph Patrick Hester.He is survived by his brother Charles Woodrow Hester (Kathryn Rae Richard), and sister Judy Norma (Hester) Leach (Eugine). Son Michael Delane Hester and recently blessed with, Love Denise Rae (Sacco) Hester. 2 Nephews Kenny Hester and Charles Hester Jr and nieces Tammy, Teri, Debbie, Lori Jo, and Vicki and lots of cousins.He is also survived by many friends he made while working at the Crescent City Post Office for the past 20 years. Along with his friends from his membership in the Crescent City Masonic Lodge.His smiling face and wonderful (often sarcastic) sense of humor kept everyone happy to be in his presence. He was an animal lover with 2 dogs and a cat and even some fish. He will forever be missed and remembered by his family and friends.James (Mike) graduated from De Anza Highschool in 1975 (Richmond, CA) where he played football. He was a SF Giants and 49er’s fan.He was a proud US Marine (Lance Corporal E-3). He served for 4 years and was honorably discharged in September of 1980.James loved his Harley and was an avid rider and had many friends he enjoyed riding with.Please join us Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Crescent City Masonic Lodge #45, 250 9th Street, Crescent City, CA. Friends may gather beginning at 2:00 PM for family visitation and refreshment. Memorial Service will begin promptly at 3:00 PM in the Masonic Hall.Immediately following: procession to graveside at Crescent City Cemetery, 400 Cooper Avenue, Crescent City, CA.Immediately following inurnment: Celebration of Life Reception back at Masonic Lodge Hall, 250 9th Street, Crescent City, CA. Eulogy by his brother Charles W.
