By Branden Bieber – June 30, 2023 As we gather this Fourth of July to celebrate as a community, let us not forget what to commemorate. “Independence” Del Norte’s 4th of July festivities is one of the biggest events of the year, but our Independence is being diminished daily. And while it seems the whole world is fighting, our County consents without discussion. As Del Norte’s private industry economy fails to exist, local Government is content on delivering Liberal State Legislation void of responsibility. Mandating homeless, mental illness, sexual harassment, drug dependence, and social services for all. If you ever thought life was hard, the County aspires to fulfill your every need. Regardless of Governments inability to improve or complete the things they fund, they seem entitled to spend your tax dollars on anything and everything, but mainly salaries. The County studies this, plan’s for that, survey’s some, proclaims unmet problems, and writes lot’s of letters that only accelerate each crisis. Bigger problems, higher fee’s, and additional taxes, will be required from constituents to fund our society’s economic depression. And when you fail to meet the increasing financial demands of society, Government will print more money to take care of you. Or, we remember what we should be…… And become Independent again.
