Coast Central Credit Union announced that Vaughn Peterson has been appointed vice president, information systems, reporting to President/CEO James T. Sessa. Peterson is responsible for the organization’s technology areas, ensuring the highest level of network security and compliance with all systems, increasing efficiencies and enhancing operations, monitoring trends to advance the credit union’s products and services, and overseeing a team of 11 skilled employees.Peterson brings over 20 years of information technology experience to Coast Central, most recently serving as chief technology officer of Cyprus Credit Union in West Jordan, Utah. His experience spans development and implementation of strategic plans, software development, incident response, enhancement of policies and procedures, fraud protection, system conversions and project management. Prior to his time at Cyprus, Peterson served as information technology manager of Greater Nevada Credit Union. Peterson holds a bachelor of science degree in cyber security from the University of Maryland University College. as well as various related certifications.
