“Fleeting Miracles” Art & Poetry Book now available The book “Fleeting Miracles” by the late photographer and poet Carol Schach is now available at Del Norte Office Supply, 783 3rd St, Crescent City. The full-color book is filled with the artist’s photography of local flora and fauna, and contains her poetic musings about nature and life. This inspirational book also makes a thoughtful gift. For more information, contact DNACA at 707-464-1336 or office@dnaca.net. 7th Annual Art from the Inside Exhibit Del Norte Association for Cultural Awareness (DNACA) presents their 7th Annual “Art From the Inside” Exhibition, at the Del Norte Courthouse from June 16 - August 11, 2022. The exhibit features artworks created in Visual Arts workshops at Pelican Bay State Prison. This program provides arts workshops at all 33 state prisons as a way to reduce recidivism rates and prevent violence within prisons. Jack became interested in photography several years ago and his photos of the Battery Point lighthouse are a favorite among Gallery visitors. In addition, he has photographed fuchsia flowers for the American Fuchsia Society, which are often featured on the cover of the American Fuchsia Society Bulletin. The Gallery of Arts & Culture The Gallery of Arts & Culture at 175 H Street, is featuring the oil paintings of award-winning artist Daniel Desmond. While Dan and his artist wife Marianne Strehler moved to Crescent City several years ago, he has been painting with oils for over 60 years, and concentrates mostly on landscapes and seascapes.
