Well it looks like the “celebration” of our nation’s birth is off and running already. On the evening of June 16, our usual peaceful neighborhood was rocked by around six large explosions by what most likely were illegal fireworks. Explosions that were the kind that make you jump and shock your senses. Where your pets run and hide while violently shaking.And once the first one sets off, you know more are coming so you wait in anxious anticipation for the next assault. These are not the Safe and Sane fireworks made for family entertainment, but rather annoying and dangerous “toys” usually set off by alcohol and drug fueled “parties.”I doubt any of the participants at these gatherings even know about the Declaration of Independence.
