I first met Terri as an eighth grader trying out for her drill team at the high school. I was lucky enough to be one of the many young ladies on her team all four years of high school.Terri quickly became one of my most respected mentors during my formative years as a teenager. I like to think she saw my passion for dance and a need for belonging, and helped me become a better student, loyal team member, and a better friend each year I was on her team.Terri acknowledged and recognized progress, and entrusted her team members with responsibility and provided many opportunities for growth.
