My wife and I moved to Del Norte County with intention. We were both raised in small town environments, me in Central California and my wife in Northwestern Connecticut. We loved the friendly atmosphere, the idyllic scenery, and most importantly the small town feel that made us feel as if we wee moving back "home." In more ways that one Del Norte County has truly become our home. While my wife and I are new to Del Norte County, we have been very involved with the community, and have had the opportunity to see the significant challenges that Del Norte County faces on a daily basis. Most significantly, the economic situation that limits the opportunities of those growing up in the community, areas of blight that detract from the beauty and pollute our unique environment, and lack of available healthcare in the community. Of the four candidates for District 4 Supervisor, only Patty Adams has an understanding of these issues, has the necessary experience to fully appreciate the challenges, and has an understanding of how to address the issues within the framework of limited government. Patty Adams is open and willing to listen and seek input on how to change course and drive real progress in addressing these challenges so that Del Norte County can become stronger and self sufficient while not losing the nature of the community that brings so many of residents who have left to return.
